When we think of emergency, planning is not part of it! When it comes to a medical or trauma emergency and it is you or a loved one, planning and most rational thinking goes out the door. But when it is your job to plan for those unplanned events rational think is all we have to rely on. That is exactly what we do in the ER. Those moments call for calm, cool and collected thinking.
